Diplomatic Courier Blends Foreign Policy with Aviation and Business Diplomacy

WASHINGTON, DC: The Diplomatic Courier is delighted to announce its participation and media sponsorship of the 11th Annual Aviation Summit: Flying Towards Global Economic Growth, to be held Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. This Aviation Summit will explore the future of aviation and the ability to create and sustain employment through the manufacturing and trading of both new and improved technologies as well as with the implementation of the NextGen air traffic modernization program.

"Our goal is to use the Diplomatic Courier as a forum for cross-sector dialogue not just between policy makers and the business community but also the international business and policy community," said Ana C. Rold, Editor. "For companies to achieve global success and for diplomats to be able to promote their countries and products there needs to be a heightened practice of business diplomacy. There is no other institution in Washington where such a practice is so skillfully done than the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. We are proud to be partners for the Aviation Summit and in so many meaningful events."

Taking a multi-faceted approach to international affairs, the Diplomatic Courier is also the media partner for other select U.S. Chamber of Commerce's events and the CEO Luncheon Series, a high level gathering of business, diplomatic, and policy leaders featuring a prominent representative from the corporate world.

In March, "High Risk on the High Seas: The Economic Impact of Piracy in the Indian Ocean" and the Center for Women in Business' "Redefining the Game" were featured. During April, President and CEO of American Electric Power Nick Akins will speak as part of the CEO Leadership Series on the changing electric utility industry and the implications for future energy prices. Following him, Chairman of Amway Steve Van Andel will address the CEO Leadership Series on the need for the business community to promote entrepreneurship and free enterprise to create jobs and grow the economy. Details on future speakers will be released as they are confirmed.

In addition to being a presence at most U.S. Chamber of Commerce and major international events, the Diplomatic Courier maintains an aggressive publication schedule to address the world's most interesting traditional and non-traditional issues. The March/April 2012 edition is primarily dedicated to a series of articles surrounding International Women's Day, but also includes a stunning photo journal by Sebastian Rich on Afghan refugees in Pakistan, Lara Setrakian's article "Anatomy of an Arab Transformation," and more.
