AVOS, SWITZERLAND | 20 JANUARY 2026 — As global leaders gather in Davos to confront accelerating geopolitical, technological, and societal shifts, Diplomatic Courier is marking a pivotal milestone with the launch of its legacy initiative: The Global Embassy.

Founded in 2006 at the margins of the United Nations General Assembly, Diplomatic Courier has spent two decades challenging the notion that diplomacy is an elite endeavor reserved for a select few. The Global Embassy builds on that legacy by creating a new kind of civic infrastructure: a community of practice where diplomacy becomes everyone’s business.

“The Global Embassy is not defined by walls or geography,” said Ana C. Rold, Founder and CEO of Diplomatic Courier. “It is a third space, sometimes physical, often digital, and always human. Wherever people gather with intention to shape the future, that is the Global Embassy.”

Introduced in September 2025 during UNGA 80 through a series of global convenings, the Global Embassy comes into focus in 2026 as Diplomatic Courier enters its third decade. The initiative brings together diplomats, innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, and civic leaders to engage in dialogue, collaboration, and collective problem–solving.

Throughout the week in Davos and alongside the World Economic Forum annual meetings, Diplomatic Courier will convene private salons and public conversations aligned with the Global Embassy framework. Attendees are participants rather than audience, and will work together to explore leadership, education, identity, technology, governance, and the future of work.
