Dr. Marissa Quie is a specialist in Migration, Peace, and Conflict Studies at the University of Cambridge. She is a Fellow and Director of Studies in Human, Social, and Political Sciences at Lucy Cavendish College, and College Lecturer in Politics at Magdalene College. As Convenor of The Afghanistan Desk at the Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement, she leads research and programming on gender apartheid, women’s resistance, and displacement. Her work includes the development of remote education and rights training initiatives for Afghan women, supporting their engagement with international legal processes. Dr. Quie has served as an advisor to the United Nations and the Government of Afghanistan, including the Afghanistan Peace and Reintegration Program(APRP).
