Sebastian Rich Photography Exhibit to Open at National Press Club
The United Nations High Commission on Refugees and the Diplomatic Courier are delighted to announce the opening of Sebastian Rich's latest exhibit "Children in Conflict" on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

Sebastian Rich Photography Exhibit to Open at National Press Club
The United Nations High Commission on Refugees and the Diplomatic Courier are delighted to announce the opening of Sebastian Rich's latest exhibit "Children in Conflict" on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the lobby of the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
One of the characteristics of Sebastian's work is the poignant images of young children that he portrays most vividly in his footage and photographs. The collection depicted in this exhibit includes photos from a recent visit at an Afghan refugee camp while on assignment from UNHCR. The photographs of Afghan and Pakistani refugees were featured in the Diplomatic Courier's March edition earlier this year.
"We are very fortunate Sebastian Rich took a short break from his travels in conflict zones to come to Washington, DC and address the diplomatic community and foreign policy and development practitioners. His stories, just like his photos, are poignant and striking. They span a lifetime of dangerous assignments from Afghanistan to El Salvador. Sebastian rarely takes the time off from his camera and this exhibit is one of a kind for that very reason," says Ana C. Rold, Editior-in-Chief, Diplomatic Courier.

About Sebastian Rich:
Sebastian Rich has been a photographer and cameraman in hard news, documentary, and current affairs for over 30 years. During his career, Sebastian has filmed and photographed every major war and conflict including: El Salvador, Northern Ireland, Afghanistan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Lebanon, the Gulf, Bosnia, Palestine, and Iraq. He has been wounded several times, kidnapped and held hostage while on assignment in Beirut.
