ashington, DC — March 18, 2026: Diplomatic Courier and World in 2050 (W2050) announce the release of a new report by W2050, “From generosity to systems change.” This report presents findings and insights from the Future of Philanthropy Forum, 2nd Edition, hosted by Diplomatic Courier, W2050, and Aion Labs Corp. in Zurich, immediately preceding the World Economic Forum in Davos this year.
The second of five convenings planned on the Future of Philanthropy, the Zurich edition gathered visionary investors, foundation heads, and next-generation philanthropists to examine how purpose-driven capital can become a strategic lever for systems change, funding not only projects, but the infrastructures of human progress.
Participants considered the role of philanthropy as risk capital and as co–architects of aid ecosystems at a time when governments’ and multilateral institutions’ relationships with aid are deeply disrupted. Discussions centered around what aspects of current aid ecosystems and philanthropic involvement must be helped to “depart well,” and what fundamental building blocks of the future of philanthropy must be helped to “arrive well.”
