Dr. Rebecca Farber is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at William & Mary. Her research examines the intersections of globalization, gender, health, and labor. She has focused on how the growth of medical tourism, or health-related travel, in Thailand rearticulates and reconstructs the lives of local people, particularly Thai transgender women, in complex new ways.
