Michelle Guillermin’s career in banking and finance allowed her the opportunity to travel the world, photographing the wonderful sights she encountered. On a year-long sabbatical, she was privileged to spend several months in Africa and Asia. This prompted an enduring fascination with the people and animals of these regions, which she was able to couple with her personal philanthropic goals. Along the way, she developed relationships with leaders in conservation and has unique access to the worlds in which they work. Her hobby transitioned to a profession, in which she uses her photographs to raise awareness of the challenges facing our natural world, which are leading to the extinction of both animals and cultures. She strives to engage the viewers’ emotions and senses in her photographs, leading to an appreciation for a world that must not be lost.
