Diplomatic Courier Gathers Top Diplomats for "Ambassadors Roundtable"
Convening some of the capital's most powerful men and women, the Diplomatic Courier held an intimate "Ambassadors Roundtable" yesterday to discuss challenges and opportunities facing women and girls around the world. Executives, diplomats, and media gathered to analyze how to better advance women in policy, business, and other important aspects of society.
The Diplomatic Courier was especially honored by the participation of:
- Her Excellency Gillian M.S. Bristol, Ambassador of Grenada
- His Excellency Jose L. Cuisia, Jr., Ambassador of the Philippines
- Her Excellency Sheila Siwela, Ambassador of Zambia
- Representative Qubad J.Talabani, Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government
"As part of our International Women's month efforts, we were particularly honored to hear perspectives from top diplomats representing almost all of the regions of the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East," said Editor Ana C. Rold. "We are very thankful for the collaboration of our partners, the Center for Women in Business at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Center for International Private Enterprise who see eye to eye on our business diplomacy initiatives."
This event was held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the newly launched Center for Women in Business at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Center for International Private Enterprise.
In addition to being a presence at most major international events and holding roundtables like this, the Diplomatic Courier maintains an aggressive publication schedule to address the world's most interesting traditional and non-traditional issues. The March/April 2012 edition is primarily dedicated to a series of articles surrounding International Women's Day, but also includes a stunning photo journal by Sebastian Rich on Afghan refugees in Pakistan, Lara Setrakian's article "Anatomy of an Arab Transformation," and more.
